How Seats, Plans & Credits Work


We want to make sure you understand exactly how your billing works. We’ve designed this system to be fair, transparent, and flexible. You get the seats you need, and only pay for what you use.

🪑 Your Workspace Seats: The Basics

Every workspace comes with 5 free seats, always. These are on us! If you need more seats, you buy extra ones.

Example: If you buy 35 seats, you’ll have 40 seats total (5 free + 35 purchased).

The simple rule: You only pay for the seats you purchase. The 5 free ones never cost anything.

💰 How Much You Pay

Your bill is based only on the seats you’ve purchased.

Monthly plans: You pay a small monthly fee for each purchased seat.

Yearly plans: You pay for a whole year at once, and get 2 months free compared to paying monthly!

🎁 Only Pay for What You Use

We believe in fairness. If you don’t use all your purchased seats in a month, you earn credits for the unused ones.

Here’s how it works in everyday language:

  1. First, we count how many people actually used your workspace beyond your 5 free seats.
  2. Then, we see how many purchased seats went unused.
  3. You earn credits for every unused purchased seat.

Monthly plans: 1 unused seat = 1 credit

Yearly plans: 1 unused seat = 10 credits (because you paid for the whole year upfront)

Example: If you bought 35 seats but only needed 5 (all in the free tier), you’d earn credits for all 35 purchased seats. That means 35 credits on a monthly plan, or 350 credits on a yearly plan.

💡 How Credits Work on Your Next Bill

Credits are like money in your account that automatically apply to your next charge. They roll over month to month, and we always use the oldest credits first.

The important rule: You can never use more credits than you’ve actually paid for. This makes sure everything stays fair and square.

🧾 Your Next Charge: Simple Math

When your next bill comes, we take your regular plan cost and subtract your available credits. If credits cover everything, you pay $0!

The easy formula:

Your next bill = Plan cost - Your credits (minimum $0)

Real Examples

Example 1: Monthly Plan

  • You bought 35 seats
  • You have 5 free seats (total: 40 seats)
  • This month, only 3 people used your workspace
  • Result: All users were in the free tier, so you earn credits for all 35 purchased seats
  • Next bill: $0 (credits cover everything)

Example 2: Yearly Plan

  • Same situation as above
  • You paid for the year upfront
  • Result: You earn yearly credits for all unused seats
  • Next renewal: $0 (credits cover your renewal)
